Vancouver Olympics.

The Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games came to an end with a gold medal from the hockey team which made Canadians completely forget about any other achievements. 14 gold medals, first gold medal in Canadian soil... everything meant squat after Sydney Crosby scored the Golden Goal in overtime. Walking around downtown Vancouver in the previous days was an interesting observation exercise, and an unfortunate one if you're not carrying your camera. I still managed to absorb a few interesting sights, big ones and small ones.

This was part of an outdoors exhibition concerning the reuse of materials all over the world. Something like that. I just thought that this world representation was kind of cute.

People found some time to create their version of the Olympic Inukshuk logo on the outskirts of False Creek.

Not so small, yet largely uncommented by most people for some reason, the weather and the lack of the usual winter mist and almost no pollution caused this installation to be less spectacular than intended. Yet it was amazing.

Part of an aboriginal exhibition, a forest of kids drawings. I wish I had paid a bit more attention to them. I saw the whole and not the parts just like almost everyone else.
