Vancouver Never Plays Itself
I knew most of this but I had never thought of it that way... Vancouver never plays itself. But it is more that just that. It has to do with the fact that the biggest industry and audience for movies (the US) doesn't give a rat's ass when the story is based outside of mainland US. It is cultural and that is more complicated.
